Upgrading machines means better performance, more storage space and new design. But setting up a new pc is a very big headache. Follow these steps to make your new pc just the way you like.

Change Windows Update Settings

First of all, install all updates on your pc. Updates keep you safe in online world and Microsoft also regularly patches security vulnerabilities in its OS. Go to Settings > Updates & Security > Windows Update. Install all updates that you see here.

When all updates are done, Go to same Settings > Updates & Security > Windows Update and select active hours here. When you typically use your pc, its called active hours. Change your active hours here. It will block the pc to install updates at your active hours. When all update work is done, must restart your pc.


Delete Windows Blotware

Delete windows Blotware is a time when you delete unwanted crap from your Pc. If you've assembled your own pc, there's need nothing to do. But if you bought a prebuilt pc, there's a big chance that the manufacturer installed alot of apps that you'll never use. This includes antivirus apps, social media apps, and other junk programs. You should go to Settings > Apps on your PC and remove all of it one by one.


Install all your favorite and necessary apps

After delete Blotware from your computer, its time to install all your favorite, necessary and the softwares you want to use. Install it one by one through any browser or you use ninite to install all softwares at same time.


Schedule regular backups

You obviously don’t want to lose your precious data if your PC crashes. To prevent from this, you'll use windows prebuilt tool like Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive.


Check which programs start when your computer boots

Almost every app tries its best to run in your computer's background when you boots up your computer. But time to time it slows down your computer. It is useful to start some apps automatically, when you boots up your computer like downloading app or messaging app but apps like your browser don't need to start's up automatically when you boots up. For check this Go to Settings > Apps > Startup and change startup settings of all apps.
